Biofield Viewer is a state-of-the-art imaging system that visualizes the human biofield in real time. The Biofield Viewer is a non-invasive imaging system that visualizes the human biofield by capturing light photon interactions between a standardized light source and the subject's body. 

 It uses Interference Photography technology, where a camera records how light intensity differs on and around the skin due to reflection or absorption by the biofield. 

The software then processes this data by comparing reflected rays with incident rays, digitally encoding the subtle differences in photon density. These variations are mapped to specific colors in the visible spectrum, creating a real-time color-coded image that allows practitioners to identify energy patterns, symmetry, and potential blockages or imbalances in the body's energy field. 

Technical Mechanism: 

The Biofield Viewer (BV) operates using biofield imaging technology, invented by John Catchpole for Harry Oldfield. 

Unlike standard photography, which records surface reflection, BV captures the interference patterns created when ambient light interacts with the subject's biofield. 

The system relies on a controlled environment where a standardized light source (typically full-spectrum lights or sunlight) illuminates the subject. As photons travel toward the body, they interact with the weak electromagnetic fields generated by physiological activities (such as blood flow and cellular metabolism). This interaction causes subtle variations in light intensity—some photons are absorbed, while others are reflected with altered density. A standard digital video camera (often a Logitech webcam mounted on a tripod) captures these minute differences, which are invisible to the naked eye. 

Digital Processing and Colour Mapping

Once the camera captures the raw video feed, the Biofield Viewer software performs a real-time digital analysis. The core algorithm compares the incident rays (light traveling toward the body) with the reflected rays (light bouncing off). 

The software assigns a numerical value to the intensity of light at every pixel. These values are then mapped to a specific color spectrum:

• High Intensity/Bright Areas: Typically indicate strong energy flow or active physiological processes. 

• Low Intensity/Dark Areas: Often interpreted as energy depletion, congestion, or "blockages."

• Asymmetry: Differences between the left and right sides of the body are highlighted to identify potential imbalances. 

This process creates a false-colour image where the subtle gradations of photon density are exaggerated into visible colors, allowing practitioners to visualize the "aura" or energy field dynamically. 

Operational Requirements and Limitations

To function correctly, the system requires a highly controlled setting to eliminate external noise:

• Lighting: Must be consistent and often uses specific full-spectrum bulbs to ensure the interference patterns are due to the biofield, not lighting fluctuations.

• Background: A matte white wall is essential to provide a neutral monochromatic backdrop for accurate light reflection analysis. 

• Subject Preparation: The subject usually stands on a raised platform wearing minimal clothing (or specific attire) to expose the skin, as fabrics and hair can cast shadows or absorb light, creating artifacts that the software might misinterpret as energy blockages. 

It is important to note that the Biofield Viewer is marketed primarily as a research and wellness tool, not a medical diagnostic device. 

 It has not been evaluated by the FDA for diagnosing, treating, or curing diseases, and its readings are interpreted subjectively by trained practitioners rather than through standardized medical metrics
